"Thursday! What A Concept."

Have you seen Netflix's "Russian Doll"? Great show, but that is not why we gathered here. The reason is always something aesthetically pleasing to the eye.

Main character - Nadia is stuck in the time loop at her friend's bathroom and I am stuck in love with that neo gothic interior! Not to be dramatic but it is unhealthy obsession at this point. Décor of that powder room is rare, moody and rich. It brings to mind modern dark academia, but it is much more than that.

The star of the show is not only amazing Natasha Lyonne, but also intriguing and mysterious bathroom door, with amethyst-like geode. I've never seen something quite like that. It works as a portal between the present and the past, but mostly sets up our mood through the episodes. When I noticed glorious blue light peeking through it, and reflecting on walls tiled in black, for the first time, my jaw was on the floor. How did they even do this? Must be CGI! The door was, in fact, a real thing, made specifically for the show by production designer Michael Bricker.

Natural rocks, geodes and Crystals are not only stunning, but they are minerals that hold energy. Spiritually light blue or turquoise light represents the throat chakra. It provides you with the truth and the meaning of your existence. However, some people would argue the colour looks more like indigo, representing the third eye chakra. Third eye gives us the ability to see things around us from a different perspective, and connects us to our inner self / spirit guides. According to psychologist Gay Hendricks, the metaphor of Matryoshkas describes the process of digging deeper into oneself, and into the subliminal drivers that guide the real reasons we do things.
